What does it take to become a MYD member?

Purchase membership through through ActBlue. Your $3 membership fee recurs each month.

To be a Voting Member or be elected as one of our four Officers, you must also live, work, or go to school in Manhattan. People who do not live, work, or go to school in Manhattan can still pay dues to become Non-voting Members and will still be welcome at all members-only events, and they will be eligible to serve on the Executive Board.

Which events should I attend?

Whichever you like! While some events may be members only, you’ll also  have access to a network of progressive New Yorkers who want to make a difference.

What’s the age limit to be an MYD member?

You can be a member of MYD between the ages of 16-35. Your membership will expire on the year of your 35th birthday. If you are outside of those ages, you are still encouraged to donate!

Can I donate if I am not a U.S. citizen?

You must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e: Green Card) in order to contribute funds to MYD.
